    I will advocate for a positive, safe, empowering, and supportive environment that attracts and retains highly qualified educators and also creates a robust pool of substitutes to be available when the need arises..

    I will work to ensure that all of our 48 schools are equal in infrastructure, resources, staff, and programs so that each of our 42,000 students receives the same high-quality education, equipping them with the necessary tools for success.

  • A= All Inclusive Community

    Our district’s website is available in 48 languages, reflecting our diversity. I am committed to fostering  a strong collaboration across all cultures, building trust to address issues of  safety, discipline, and mental health .

Meet Antonia “Toni” Fauntleroy

Community Advocate, Loving mother, and Grandmother of children in Chesapeake Public Schools

I am pursuing a position on the Chesapeake School Board because of my dedication to advancing education, promoting equity, and supporting student well-being. Serving in this role presents a valuable opportunity to make a positive, lasting impact within our community.

I am committed to ensuring every child receives a high-quality education that supports academic success and equal access for all, regardless of background or circumstance.

I am committed to recruiting and retaining highly qualified teachers by providing competitive compensation, clarifying responsibilities, and ensuring strong administrative support. Furthermore, I will work to maintain an effective pool of substitute teachers by offering appropriate compensation.

As our schools become increasingly diverse, it is essential to actively engage multicultural families with strategies that foster culturally affirming and inclusive communities, ensuring every student and family feels welcome and valued. I am dedicated to promoting meaningful collaboration among all ethnic groups.

Furthermore, I am deeply committed to building a strong coalition among our ethnic families.
